Schick Hydro 5 – Review and Giveaway
I can’t remember the last time I’ve shaved with a manual razor. When I was asked to shave with a manual razor I was skeptical for a few reasons.
I’ve been using electric razors to shave and line up my head for many years (clean up my hairline). Since I was a young teen, I started cutting hair for myself and others. My brother practiced on me and I repaid the favour. I was just better at it. I was so eager to grow a moustache that I shaved my fuzz hoping it would grow back thicker. I shouldn’t have rushed it. I soon learned that I suffer from ingrown hairs when regrowth starts. I’ve tried all different types of razors for a close shave and they all ended with razor bumps.
My experience with the Schick Hydro 5 disposable was not what I expected. I took the time to read what made this razor unique so that I could appreciate the experience. The five blades with the flip trimmer for the tight spots definitely got my attention. I thought that maybe I would try a fancy moustache or goatee. The five blades made quick work of my curly untamed moustache and beard, before I knew it, I didn’t have anything left to design!
The flip trimmer was quickly unlocked with a flick of the thumb and I was able to get to the hard to reach spots under my lip and nose. I didn’t time myself but I felt like I was done in record time.
After clean up I put the remaining razors in my travel kit so I’m ready for quick get aways.
Sold in 3 packs and available at most major retailers across Canada for approx. $9.95
