In Real Life - The Big Mouth

So I have had a couple of pregnant ranty blog posts so if you don't want to hear me complain this may not be the best one to read.
Last week while out walking around there was a couple that needed directions so Shaun was assisting them. When he had finished the woman asked me how far along I was. The conversation went a little like this:
Lady: How far along are you?
Me: Just over 7 months.
Lady: You are having a boy.
Me: Well actually, we do not know what we are having.
Lady: Well you are having a boy, I can tell. And you are carrying heavy all around.
Me: Um pardon (fire burning in my eyes)
Lady: I had 2 girls and a boy and I carried just like you when I had him - really heavy all around.
Now lucky for the lady Shaun said have a good day and pulled me away. I really wanted to punch her in her fat nose. Ladies!!!!! Why do we feel that we can do this to women, and especially complete strangers? When I say that we are not finding out what we are having why would you think that you can tell me what you think what I am having. Obviously I want there to be a surprise. And secondly to tell me that I am carrying heavy all around!!!!! I am having a hard enough time dealing with my body changes - this did not help! Especially to the women that have already had children. You would think that these women would be a little more sympathetic, but I guess not.
I know that I am having a baby and really that is all that matters. We hope for a healthy baby, the sex just doesn't matter. So to that stupid lady on the street and all of the others that feel it necessary to tell me what they think I am having. Please keep it to yourself. I don't tell you how I feel about your hair cut, pants that are too tight or bad makeup job. Oh and also, if I look tired, in pain or just plain cranky it's probably cause I am so tell me something nice or again - SHUT IT!
End of rant.
