Easy Chilean Grape Compote Recipe
We love grapes in our house. Sometimes I buy them and before I blink everyone has gathered around for a quick and healthy snack. I wanted to come up with a different yummy way to put the Chilean grapes that I just picked up from my local Superstore to use that everyone in the house would love. Ingredients:
- 3 cups of halved red grapes
- 1/2 juiced lemon
- 1/2 juiced orange
- 1/3 cup of white sugar
- 2 tsp of butter
Directions:
Bring grapes, fruit juice and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Then let simmer for 8-10 minutes as grapes break down. Remove from heat and whisk in butter and let cool. Keep refrigerated.
Grilled cheese sandwiches are my fav. I bought some fresh Sourdough bread, grated some Havarti cheese and spread the grape compote. It was so yummy and am so glad that I have enough cheese to make more for lunch tomorrow.
Another way to use this tasty compote is to put it on vanilla ice cream. It was a huge hit with the kids.
