What’s In My Conference Bag

So this past weekend I was able to attend the BlogHer conference in San Jose.  It was super exciting and I learned a ton and met some pretty incredible people.  I get a little crazy when it comes to being organized so I did some research about what I should be brining with me.  I hate to be unprepared.

bag1

1 – A good sweater.  Although it was really warm in San Jose the conference rooms are always FREEZING!  Same goes for airplanes!

2 – Weleda Skin Food – this is my go-to fav cream.  I hate having dry hands and this cream keeps my hands soft and healthy!

3 – Skechers Sneakers – The memory foam in these sneaks kept my feet feeling like they were walking on air even after 12 hours on my feet walking around the conference!

4-8 are some of the most important things that I brought because if I don't take of myself than things can quickly go downhill.  With the 3 hour time difference and not a great deal of sleep I am so glad that I went prepared!

Cocculine is fantastic because it helps with my motion sickness on the plane.  Dapis Gel relieves any bug bites I got while out at night.  The Calendula Gel has a cooling effect for any minor Cuts or bruises. Oscillococcinum was my go to yesterday when I started to feel a fever coming on.  And lastly Cicadermine is perfect for chapped skin. (can you say dry conference rooms)  For more info on all Boiron products click HERE.

There were a couple of techy things that I needed with me!

9 – My FitBit – I knew that I was going to be on my feet all day and all night so I wanted to see how many steps I was taking.  There were a couple of days that I was at my 10,000 step goal by noon which was AWESOME!

10 – Caseco Charger – With the amount that I use my phone my batter just does not make it through a full day.  This charger is about the size of a lipstick and gives me a full charge so I don't always have to be searching for a plug!

11 – Roam Mobility Sim Card – One of my biggest concerns when going to a blogging conference was roaming charges.  I have heard of people going to the states only to return to a super expensive bill. For under $4 a day I was able to call, text and roam without a care.

Bag4

12 – Binder – My father would be so proud! He was always a binder maker whenever something big was going on, college, my wedding.  It is so important to be organized.

13 – Check organizer – this held sticky notes, a pen and separate pockets for Brands, Americans and Canadian cards.  At the end of each day it was emptied into the binder – lol!!

14 – Business Cards – lots and lots of business cards!

What do you bring with you when you head off to a conference?

I have not been to a conference for blogging yet but these are all such great ideas. I will have to keep this in mind when I make it to one.

Yes, lots of business cards and a notebook for notes! And a reusable water bottle would be another good idea to have.

I haven’t been to a conference in years but this is a great list! I always have a sweater with me if I will be inside in the summer, people like it cold, brr.

My must haves for a conference is a light sweater or wrap, comfy shoes and a plugin bar. There are never enough plugs in the conference room or hotel room is you are sharing a room. Oh and hangars if you are sharing a room.

Great tips, I especially love the sneakers one. I have a tendency to always pack the worst shoes and then am in pain the entire time. Not fun!

My list looks a lot like yours. The only other thing is an a long extension cord if you are working on a laptop. Outlets are hard to find in hotel conference/ball rooms!
