Family Fun and Spreading Cheer with #TreatsForToys
The holidays are just around the corner and I have something super fun and exciting to share. Now that I have a family of my own with the holidays coming up I am looking forward to starting new traditions with my little ones. I am proud to introduce to you the most AMAZING campaign that Rice Krispies Canada is running called #TreatsForToys . All you have to do is create Rice Krispie Treats designed like toys and upload them on the RiceKrispie.ca page. For each photo uploaded a toy will be donated to the Salvation Army for children in need this holiday season.
We received a fantastic kit with everything that we would need to create some pretty amazing Rice Krispie Treats, and as you can see Aria was taking it pretty seriously. I made a regular batch of Rice Krispie treats as well as a batch made with Mars Bars! SO YUMMY!
I took advantage of having my sisters, their husbands and my parents over this past weekend and we all got creating together. My sister had an awesome vision and she made the beautiful bunny you see above.
Shaun also created, what he called a pirate robot. Pretty funny, but tasted fantastic regardless!
Shane and I created a snowman and a little girl, he was more interested in eating the decorations and of course eating the Rice Krispie Treats. We made sure to upload our pictures to RiceKrispies.ca to see that children in need will receive toys this year. This was a super fun activity for the whole family and a great new tradition to get us in the holiday spirit. To get some more inspiration check out the #TreatsForToys hashtag on twitter and Instagram and get creating for a great cause.
