Kelloggs #TreatForToys with my Toddlers!

t4t

We had a total blast making Rice Krispie treats with my family for #TreatsForToys but I found that my little ones were not getting to involved.  I decided this time around to find a way for it to be easy for them to get in on the fun.  I picked up some sprinkles, cookie cutters and other fun things at the dollar store and we got to work.

I cut out a couple gingerbread men for them but other than that I was hands off.  A tip if you are going to be using cookie cutters for Rice Krispie treats – spread them thinner than you would for regular squares.

Shane went to town with the squeezable icing and Aria enjoyed pouring (and eating) the sprinkles.

The finished products!  They may not be pretty but they were uploaded to the Rice Krispies site so that a child in need will receive a gift this holiday season from the Salvation Army.

The best part of all I think may have been eating their masterpieces!

If you haven't uploaded a picture to the Rice Krispie site you still have until December 21st.  Making Rice Krispie treats is easy and creating the toys is tons of fun.  Check out the site for some inspiration. This was a super fun activity for all of us to do and we know that we are also making a difference in someone's life.  Have you made any #TreatsForToys yet?
