Top 5 New York Bachelorette List

I'm not gonna lie, when my little sister decided that she wanted to do New York for her Bachelorette party I was thrilled.  I love New York, just like I love any big city.  I love the hustle and bustle and I knew that in the 2 short days we were there there was much to see.  There were very specific things that she wanted to cross off her Must See list so the bridal party got to work planning and man did we have a blast.  This is my Top 5 list for anyone heading to the Big Apple for a girls weekend.

1 – Broadway – Go see a show!  Believe me when I tell you there is something for everyone.  We come from a pretty musical family so we were thrilled to get tickets and let me just say we were not disappointed.  We saw Book Of Mormon and it was just hilarious.  There were times when I thought I might pee my pants from laughing! (thanks mommy bladder)  Members of the cast were nice enough to take pictures with us after the show which was super cool.  There is just such an awesome energy that comes from these performers!  So glad we went!

2 – Ellen's Stardust Diner – If you are hitting a show on Broadway you need to start off your evening at Ellen's Stardust Diner.  We had heard great things about it so we decided to give it a go.  When we arrived there was a line around the building, I am so glad that we decided to wait it out.  This restaurant is quite the experience, you see every waiter wants to be on Broadway.  They have moved to New York with the hopes of being discovered and they are all so uber talented.  One minute your waiter is serving you drink and the next they are standing on tables and singing.  Their cocktail menu was super fun and of course we had to bring our own penis straws, because…..bachelorette party!

If we didn't have a show to go to I think that we would have stayed longer.  The energy was just incredible.

3 – Rent Bikes with Go NY Tours  – It was really really hot when we were in New York.  My sister had never been to Central Park and one of her MUST see's was Strawberry fields.  I am so glad that we had the opportunity to rent bikes so that we could make it to the memorial.  We had a great time, the service at GO NY Tours was great and quick.  When you decide to rent a bike make sure to take the map that they offer you, the park is huge and the basket was also super helpful.  I am a tall gal so quickly returned the bike I was given for a larger one, which they did easily.  If you are thinking of heading to Central Park in the warmer months I really don't think there is a better way to see it.

4 – Bus Ride with Gray Line – There were so many things that we wanted to see, and so little time!  Big thanks to Gray Line for helping us cross so many items off the to-see list.  The best part of these tours. was the tour guides.  They were super nice, funny and they had great pieces of trivia that we never would have learned without being on this tour.  We hopped off and on a couple of times to get closer to some attractions and grab a bite to eat.  It was super convenient to just pick up where we left off and continue with a new tour guide.  Although super hot out we decided to sit up top.  If you are traveling in any major city I would definitely recommend doing one of their many tours.  It really makes seeing the sites pain free!  Also if you are thinking of seeing any of the sites or shows I would recommend visiting them as they have fantastic discounts.

5 – Leave a little up to chance – Although we really planned a great deal of our trip out the Saturday night was left open.  We went out to dinner and decided to ask our waiter where a great place was to go for drinks that weren't gonna break the bank.  We first found ourselves at a bar with a huge ceramic pig out front.  The drinks were cheap, the place was rammed and they were serving boiled hot dogs from behind the bar.  After that we walked past a tiny lounge playing reggae with hookahs.  We danced for hours, smoked grape flavored hookah and had a blast.  We then hopped in cabs to a little karaoke bar and sang until well past am.  I can't remember the last time that I had so much fun!  It was really an incredible night and the fun really found us!

Overall the trip was AMAZING!  We had a fantastic time and I think my sister had a bachelorette she will never forget!
