The Mudderella Journey Continues #MilkInTheMud

94 DAYS!

That is how long we now have to train for the upcoming Mudderella challenge in Toronto.  To say that I am excited would be an understatement.

A few weeks ago the gals and I got together to get to know each other and do our first team train.  I thought that the best way to warm ourselves up and get to know each other would be a hike.  You see as I know everyone but they come from different circles of friends so some of the gals had never met. It is such a great group of broads and we had a great time.

We hiked just under 10kms, got our heart rate pumping and had tons of laughs.  I am so excited to have these ladies on my team and I have no doubt that come August we will be ready to rock!

I asked the gals why they wanted to get involved in this challenge with me. (other than me guilting them – lol) and here is what a few of them had to say:

Natasha –

Typically, I go to the gym to get and stay fit.  However, now that am getting older I am more interested in incorporating new and fun activities to help maintain/reach my fitness goals.  The demands of being a Mom, wife and full time employee means that 'Me' time is limited.  For me Mudderella has it all:  having fun, socializing with friends and working on my fitness!  Killing 3 birds with one stone, that's worth the time away from my family.

Jessica –

I decided to participate in Muderella because a) it sounds fun! b) I get to do it with a bunch of amazing women and c) I'm getting married in September so it was the added "kick in the butt" that I need to start exercising and lose some weight before the big day.

Sam –

I thought it would be fun to challenge myself this summer with something new. Working towards a goal and knowing that I am part of a team is great motivation to push myself. I’m looking forward to the workouts and different activities I might never have done if not for the diverse group of ladies I am training with, everyone has something different to offer and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty.

Stay tuned to hear from the rest of my team and hearing about our training journey!
